I'd been waiting to train BJJ for years, and finally pulled the trigger at Gracie Raleigh 2 months ago, along with my 7 yr old son. Though the gym has many positives, I've specifically enjoyed the overall culture or learning, support, and friendliness (particularly towards newbies). This is key when you're choking one another out... I feel comfortable and excited to go to class every time.

The gym is welcoming, safe for kids, and CLEAN. The new location is baller. Props to the team.

I’ve been training at Gracie Raleigh for over 6 years now and in that time I’ve had nothing but incredible experiences. Sometimes you’re the hammer and sometimes you’re the nail, but every single time I’ve left the gym feeling better than I did when I walked into it. Aside from the obvious fitness and technical advancements I’ve made, the social interaction and camaraderie I’ve gained through the culture cultivated by Brandon and the rest of the coaches has been truly invaluable to me and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

My 8yo is in the kids BJJ program and I cannot say enough good things about this program or the coaches! All of the coaches have been amazing. They are so kind, patient, and caring! We love coming to class and the energy Coach Thom brings!

The coaches teach them discipline, leadership, respect, and help build confidence not only in the classes BUT also for life. They help my son grow into a better person each time. All of the coaches are very personable and take a real interest in the kids. They build great relationships with each and everyone one of them in order to help them succeed both in and out of the classes.
