Before You Join!

At Gracie Raleigh, we believe in providing the best possible experience for all our new members. We highly encourage you to take advantage of our free trial class before committing to a membership. This allows you to get a feel for our community, instructors, and training environment.

If you choose to sign up without attending a trial class, you must email us and ensure you read the welcome email thoroughly before your first visit. This step is crucial to complete your registration and to guarantee that a staff member is available to guide you through your initial class, ensuring you feel comfortable and prepared. All new Jiu-Jitsu students are required to train in an official Gracie Raleigh Gi. You can grab yours at the front desk before your first class for a special new-student rate of $100 (regularly $145). We keep all standard sizes in stock at the gym. For payment, we can either charge your account on file or accept a credit card at the desk when you pick it up. New Muay Thai students are required to purchase or have gear before their first class.

Please note that if you sign up and show up to a class without prior communication, you will not be able to join the class that day. We look forward to welcoming you to our Gracie Raleigh family!

Trials For Ages 4-6

Watch First, Then Try!

For our 4–6 year old program, we require families to sit and watch part of a class before their child can participate in a free trial. This optional step is available for the 7–12 year olds and adult classes, but for our youngest students, it’s a key part of ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Watching a class first gives your child a chance to:
• See how a Jiu-Jitsu class works
• Meet our coaches and feel comfortable in the space
• Ease first-day nerves and get excited to participate
