No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Raleigh
Ready to take your grappling to the next level? Whether you want to master real-world self-defense, dominate the competition mats, or get in the best shape of your life, our No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu classes in Raleigh deliver an unmatched training experience.
Practiced in a rashguard and shorts rather than the traditional Gi, No-Gi removes the gi grips to create a faster, high-energy environment focused on sleek movement, explosive wrestling transitions, and clean submissions.
Gracie Raleigh's No-Gi Submission Grappling Schedule
We know that real skill requires consistency and repetitions. That is why we offer a training structure engineered to maximize your mat time—giving you a competitive value and edge you won’t find anywhere else in the Triangle area:
Dedicated No-Gi Classes: Focused entirely on the distinct mechanics of leg locks, front headlocks, body locks, and modern wrestling-to-submission transitions.
Bonus No-Gi Sparring After Every Class: Whether you just finished a specialized No-Gi session or a traditional Gi class, the mats remain open. Slip your gi jacket off and jump straight into live No-Gi sparring (rolling). This dual-style exposure builds an incredibly adaptable, well-rounded game far faster than typical training schedules. Check out our full Raleigh martial arts schedule to see all of our open mat and sparring times.
A Safe, Ego-Free Culture: We breed champions, but we protect our training partners. Our mats are welcoming, pristine, and completely free of toxic gym egos.
The Gracie Raleigh Advantage: Built for Every Ruleset
What separates Gracie Raleigh from standard schools is the depth of our curriculum. We don’t train you to be a one-dimensional grappler. Our program is a complete martial arts system engineered to give you a structural advantage in any division, under any ruleset, anywhere in the world.
Our students learn the universal concepts behind pressure, leverage, and positioning. This means you can seamlessly transition between:
Point-Based Formats (IBJJF & Local Tournaments)
Submission-Only Cards & Professional Super Fights
Elite Submission Grappling Platforms (ADCC Rulesets)
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA & UFC Fighter Prep)
Proven on the Podiums: Champion Pedigree
You don’t have to compete to train here—the majority of our members train purely for fitness, fun, and self-defense. But if you do want to test your skills, you are in the exact right room.
Gracie Raleigh is home to an active, highly successful competition team. Led by our world-class coaches—whom you can meet on our Gracie Raleigh instructors page—our students and competitors regularly medal in prestigious regional and national No-Gi tournaments, elite invitationals, and professional super fights. When you train on our mats, you are learning the exact systems, setups, and strategies used by championship-level athletes.
