Agility Drills For Martial Arts

One of the best aspects of agility training is that you do not have to be in a gym. These exercises can be be done anywhere, as long as you have some open space. Let us know what you think about these in the comments below.

Agility Hurdles

Agility hurdles are great for training. You can use these for so many different types of exercises that will help you with your balance, agility, speed, lateral movement, and explosiveness. Here’s some great exercising tips on how to use agility hurdles.

Ice Skater Jumps or Hops

This is another great exercise for increasing leg power, agility, and balance by pushing out to the side like you’re an ice skater. This exercise will help you improve your ability to change direction in the ring, decrease lower-body injuries, and increases coordination. It also helps to eliminate imbalances in the lower body area. Check out the video in this link for more information on skater jumps.

Tuck Jumps

Tuck jumps are simple exercises that will you improve agility and power. Here’s how you do them. Start off by standing with your feet about at shoulder width apart with a slight bend in your knees. With as much power as you can exert, explode in a jumping manner and bring your knees upwards toward your chest while in the air. Experts should try grabbing their knees for an extra level of difficulty. Try not to rest between landings, immediately move into the next jump instead.
