Healthy New Year’s Resolutions
Reduce Your Stress Levels – Start your new year off with a dedicated effort to reduce stress in your life. Stress leads to all sorts of physical and mental health problems. Stress can also come from every corner of your life. There’s money stress, stress in relationships, and general everyday stress like fighting traffic. There are many ways to reduce this stress in your life and most of the other positive resolutions that we’ll list will fit right in to this category. That’s why we’re leading with reducing stress; it’s that important.
Save Money – Some people will say that the more money you have, the more problems you’ll have. From firsthand experience, I can tell that you having little-to-no money will cause you to have even bigger problems. When you do not have money, or any money saved up for a rainy day, it can be stressful. Make 2016 the year you make an effort to really get your finances straightened out. If you need to get ahead, get a second job and cut back on your expenses. Almost everyone can find things that they’re spending way too much money on. If you have a job, or two, make en effort to take a certain amount from each paycheck and put it into your savings or retirement fund. You’ll never know when you might need a few extra dollars to cover an unexpected expense.
Find Some Joy – Find something that makes you happy and brings you joy. It can really be anything. Happy people live longer and suffer from less stress. Sit down and think of what makes you happy, or something fun and enjoyable that you could do several times a week. It can be as simple as taking an afternoon walk, a weekend drive through the country, camping, martial arts, Raleigh boxing classes, cooking for friends, and many many more.
Exercise – You knew it was coming, right? You have to get active and get some exercise. Regardless of your age, weight, gender, or even disability, everyone can benefit from getting more exercise. Just a few minutes a day, a few times a week, can really help your overall health and wellbeing. Exercise will also make you happier, give you more confidence, and even help you rest better at night.
These are only a few healthy new year’s resolutions that you can make. There are many more to choose from. Have a prosperous new year and do something that will change your life for the better in 2016!
