You’re Not Going to Become a Black Belt Overnight

As long as you are prepared with the basics of how to present the forms, you’ll have many chances to make progress. There are some notable exceptions. Avoid Overtraining

Overtraining your body is a real problem that lots of new people fall victim to. When you spend too much time training, your body will feel it after while. You will fail, and you will fail often. This is not a bad thing and it is natural for every single student that trains in Brazilian jiu jitsu. There is a learning curve when it comes to being able to submit someone, or efficiently escaping from a submission. You have to be ready to work and commit if you want to succeed. After all, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
