Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is for anyone who wants to learn how to defend him or herself in combat. What most people don’t know, is that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will also allow you to apply those same principles to fighting the daily battles of life, like weight loss, stress, relationship issues, and self-confidence. You will learn how to think through problems more constructively than before, on and off the mats.

At Gracie Raleigh, you are a part of an extended family. You will join a team that will support you in your quest for self-improvement. Training the techniques and participating in live training sessions, with your partners and coaches, will give you an arsenal of weapons at your disposal whenever you should need them. GRACIE FUNDAMENTALS

You must learn to walk before you learn to run.  Before engaging in the advanced techniques of Gracie Jiu Jitsu it is imperative to build a strong foundation that will facilitate your transition into the dynamic art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  The techniques learned in the class will stick with you all the way through earning the black belt.

Learn to move efficiently and develop the principles of leverage that are the building blocks of Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

Gracie Raleigh

Muay-Thai

Our Muay-Thai program teaches the most effective ways to utilize punches, kicks, knees and elbows. In addition, you'll learn defense tactics like blocking, redirection, avoidance, and evasion. Most classes focus on bag work, pad work and partner drills. Get ready for a serious workout while perfecting your Muay-Thai skills. Think of our Muay-Thai offering as a self defense class, workout, and training regimen rooted in one of the world's most respected martial arts discipline.

MMA Classes

Mixed martial arts athletes know it takes more than technical prowess in disciplines like Jiu-Jitsu and Muay-Thai to be a successful fighter. We focus on both the physical and mental requirements of MMA. We're experienced MMA athletes. So don't expect anything less than the best from our training program. As with our Muay-Thai training, MMA training also provides a solid foundation of self defense skills alongside the techniques learned when studying this discipline.

Personal Training

Private Training

We offer hands-on, private training for individuals that have a desire for one-on-one training. Our staff are versed in a variety of disciplines: Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and more. If you're the type of person that benefits from individualized attention or you just want to take your expertise to the next level, try out our private sessions.

Semi-Private

Small groups are a great way to refine your defense and fighting skills. Private training can seem a little daunting for some individuals so semi-private training in small groups tends to work better. In addition, even those satisfied with their private training will see value in working in small groups. The community we offer is second to none.

Live Training

Sparring

Gracie Raleigh Sparring class will be dedicated to live training. Upon completion of the Gracie Fundamentals course and/or 3 months of Muay Thai will be eligible to take this class. Sparring class will give those who want to train "live" the chance to test their ability to apply the techniques learned in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. Sparring will allow you to develop timing while getting an amazing workout.

Open Mat

You will be required to complete Gracie Fundamentals before participation in Open Mat. Open Mat allows students enrolled in the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu program and/or the Muay Thai program the opportunity to spar, drill and review techniques learned during the week.  This class is not supervised by an instructor.

Martial Arts for Kids

Juniors Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (ages 6-12)

To excel in any endeavor, individuals need to have a strong set of values and a solid character that gives them perseverance to achieve his or her goals. The Gracie Raleigh Juniors Gracie Jiu-Jitsu program was created to provide children ages 6-12 with an environment that allows them to experience and understand core values like focus, discipline, persistence, cooperation and respect.

As a contact sport, Gracie Raleigh Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a very challenging yet safe and caring environment for a child to mature towards a real life champion.The outcome of continued childhood practice of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu goes far beyond the accomplishments on the mats. The discipline and excellence demanded by our instructors often carries over to the child’s behavior at home and at school.
